Supported Formats

We support Code 128 (default), EAN-13, UPC-A, and ISBN. Make sure your input matches the format requirements (e.g. EAN-13 requires 12 or 13 digits).

Streamlining Your Inventory with One-Dimensional Barcodes

While QR codes are great for marketing, the classic one-dimensional (1D) barcode remains the gold standard for retail, shipping, and inventory management. Our Professional Barcode Generatorsupports industry-standard formats like Code 128, UPC, and EAN, giving you the tools to label your products for the global marketplace.

Choosing the Right Format for Your Needs

Code 128 (Most Versatile)

Used for inventory, shipping, and assets. It can store both numbers and letters, making it ideal for internal business tracking.

UPC & EAN (Retail Standards)

If you're selling products in stores, you'll likely need UPC (North America) or EAN (Global). These are purely numeric codes used for point-of-sale scanning.

Why Contrast and Size Matter

Barcodes work by measuring the reflection of light. For maximum scan reliability, always use black bars on an opaque white background. Avoid using colors or textured backgrounds, as these can confuse the sensors in laser and CCD scanners. Additionally, ensure your barcode is printed at a size that allows for the "Quiet Zone" (the white space at either end) to be preserved.
